FTKKP STAFF AND STUDENTS VOLUNTEER AT BASF PETRONAS CHEMICALS MANGROVE PLANTING PROJECT 2023
We are thrilled to share that the staff and students of Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology, UMP recently took part in a truly inspiring environmental initiative!
On 24th June 2023, at the Rimbun Dahan Turtle Hatchery Premises in Mukim Chendor, Pahang, they joined hands with BASF Petronas Chemicals in a mangrove planting project. The dedicated FTKKP team rolled up their sleeves and immersed themselves in various tasks. They are involved in planting mangrove saplings, ensuring the growth of these vital ecosystems.
They also participated in a heartwarming turtle hatchling release, giving these adorable creatures a fighting chance in their journey to the sea.
In addition, the team embarked on a clean up drive, diligently picking up neglected litter scattered along the coastline. Their efforts aimed to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our beaches pristine and free from pollution.
