On 27 July 2023, our team had the opportunity of taking part in the East Coast Oil and Gas, Services and Equipment (OGSE) Roadshow 2023, hosted at The Zenith Hotel Kuantan, Pahang.

The East Coast OGSE Roadshow 2023 is organised by Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC) in collaboration with the Pahang State Government, especially Pahang Economic Planning Unit.

FTKKP set up a booth that showcased our vast array of academic programmes that are designed to support the evolving needs of the oil and gas industry. From innovative engineering to sustainable technology, our diverse offerings from Diploma to PhD level of education attracted visitors and industry professionals.

One of the highlights was our Dean's participation, Professor Ts. Dr. Che Ku Mohammad Faizal Bin Che Ku Yahya as a distinguished panellist in the discussion forum titled "Challenges in Talent Development in the Energy Transition". Moderated by Mr. Mustafa Akbar Reza, Senior VP/ Head, Development & Operations of MPRC, the forum brought together influential voices in the industry and academic to discuss the future of talent development in supporting energy transition for a sustainable future.

The East Coast OGSE Roadshow 2023 aim is to provide a platform for OGSE companies to explore Government support and policies to help grow their businesses and secure long-term sustainability. It also serves as an ideal platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration with Government representatives and other oil, gas, and energy ecosystem players, as well as financial institutions. In the event, the National OGSE Industry Blueprint 2021-2030, including grants and other forms of support offered by the Government and its agencies to develop the OGSE sector were also being promoted.

The East Coast OGSE Roadshow 2023 proved to be an outstanding opportunity for FTKKP to strengthen industry connections, foster collaborations, and promote sustainable practices. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the visitors, industry partners, and event organizers for making the event a memorable and successful experience for FTKKP.
