ENHANCING SKILLS THROUGH TNAVIGATOR TRAINING

In an effort to bridge the gap between academia and industry, Rock Flow Dynamics, a prominent company in the oil and gas sector, organized a specialized training program titled "Enhancing Skills Through tNavigator Training." The program, which took place on the 8th of June 2023 from 4 pm to 6 pm and the 13th of June 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm, aimed to equip 33 students from the Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) with practical knowledge and skills in reservoir engineering using tNavigator. The training was facilitated by two accomplished trainers, Farren Foo Kaylyn, a reservoir engineer, and Akmuhammet Mammetjanov, an expert in the field.

Rock Flow Dynamics is renowned for its cutting-edge solutions in reservoir engineering, with tNavigator being one of their flagship software offerings. tNavigator has revolutionized reservoir simulation, enabling engineers to perform accurate and efficient analyses. By imparting tNavigator skills to the UMP students, Rock Flow Dynamics aimed to empower them with practical expertise, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.

Farren Foo Kaylyn, an experienced reservoir engineer, commenced the training by introducing the students to the basics of tNavigator. The session began with an overview of the software's key features and functionalities, enabling the participants to understand its capabilities in reservoir engineering. Farren Foo Kaylyn guided the students through the user interface of tNavigator, helping them navigate the various modules with ease. The focus was on building reservoir models and accurately defining simulation parameters. Practical exercises allowed the students to gain hands-on experience and develop a strong foundation in using tNavigator for reservoir engineering tasks.

On the second day of the training, Akmuhammet Mammetjanov, an expert reservoir engineer, took the students on a journey through advanced techniques in tNavigator. The session delved deeper into multiphase flow simulations, enabling the students to model fluid behavior in complex reservoir scenarios. This training proved to be a transformational learning experience. By providing hands-on training and exposure to tNavigator, the students were empowered with practical skills that would enhance their future careers in reservoir engineering. As the UMP students step into the professional world armed with tNavigator skills, the impact of this training program will be felt in their future endeavors.
