SUCCESSFUL EVENT OF 1ST INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF REACTION ENGINEERING, CATALYSIS & SUSTAINABLE ENERGY 2021 (RECaSE2021)

SUCCESSFUL EVENT OF 1ST INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF REACTION ENGINEERING, CATALYSIS & SUSTAINABLE ENERGY 2021 (RECaSE2021)

On April 6th, the 1st International Symposium of Reaction Engineering, Catalysis & Sustainable Energy 2021 (RECaSE2021), with the theme " New Frontiers in Green Chemistry for Sustainable Energy", was successfully organized by the Reaction Intensification & Sustainable Energy (RISE) Research Group, Faculty of Chemical & Process Engineering Technology.

This symposium managed to attract participants from all over the world, especially from the South Korea, Vietnam, India, Thailand, and Indonesia to share their thoughts and findings on the future prospects of catalysis and sustainable energy. The number of submitted papers were beyond the original target, standing at 140 and 90 of them were selected for the oral presentation in RECaSE2021.

These papers have been critically reviewed and demonstrate a great potential to be published in a special issue edition of high impact factor journals namely, Chemical Engineering Technology (Wiley) and Chemical Engineering Research and Design (Elsevier). The participants also have the opportunity to submit to Materials Today: Proceeding (Elsevier). Based on this encouraging and overwhelming participation, the RISE Research Group is driven and look forward to organizing the second symposium in 2023 and onwards.
